Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  This position is primarily responsible for successfully managing the financial planning and reporting of each Division, including preparation of budgets/forecasts, financial reports, variance analysis
  The role involves supporting a diverse client group across all departments within each Division and working closely with various corporate shared service groups.
  - Entire P&L responsibility, for multiple divisions and in multiple currencies.
  - Prepare door, account and country PLs and identify profitability gaps
  - Participate in annual and long term business planning with global Shiseido affiliates carrying Nars brand
  Q Prepare Annual budgets and monthly updated estimates/forecasts for PL, BS and cashflow
  Q Ensure timely closing of books on a monthly basis. Prepare periodic financial reports reporting actual performance to multiple client groups. (in conjunction with Shared services, see below)
  Q Perform variance analysis compared to budgets, forecasts and prior periods and investigate reasons/explanations/trends
  Q Ensure compliance with the Division and Group accounting policies and procedures
  Q Ensure timely completion of external/internal audit, tax filing requirements
  Q Work closely with shared service accounting group to ensure timely/accurate booking of all transactions/accruals, review schedules/preliminary reports and other function to ensure monthly closing o
  Q Work closely with all departments (including senior management) within each Division and provide financial information to help them make business decisions
  Q Manage a staff of 2 persons to help in the above roles and to develop/train/mentor them
  Q Participate in various department, division and corporate projects

  Q 4 year Degree in Finance/Accounting required. CPA/MBA a plus. 5-7 years experience in Finance/Accounting function.
  Q Experience in Beauty/Fashion/retail industry preferred, but not required. Experience managing direct reports required
  Q Must be very organized, detail oriented and able to work under tight timelines. Must be able to prioritize and communicate well especially with senior management
  Q Expert knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of JD Edwards, Impromptu or similar ERP and financial reporting/planning tools required
  Q Responsible for overall budget for both divisions and to call out any significant deviations
  Q Must work with all departments to help prepare realistic plans and to track actual results against those plans
